Register your account

Create your Loops account on our official instance. This will be your home base in the fediverse, and you can always migrate to another instance later.

What you'll need:

  • • A valid email address
  • • A unique username (letters, numbers, and underscores)
  • • A password (minimum 8 characters)

Get the mobile app

Download the Loops app for your device. We're currently in beta, so apps are available through TestFlight (iOS) and direct APK download (Android).

Installing APKs on Android

You'll need to enable "Install from Unknown Sources" in your Android settings. Go to Settings → Security → Unknown Sources and toggle it on.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the apps be available in app stores?

We're working hard to get Loops approved for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The apps will be submitted once we exit beta testing. Follow our social accounts for updates!

Is my account data safe during the beta?

Yes! Your account and content are stored securely. However, as with any beta software, we recommend not relying on it as your only copy of important content. We take regular backups and follow security best practices.

Can I use Loops on desktop?

Yes! You can browse loops, manage your account, and interact with content through the web interface at loops.video. The mobile apps offer the full experience including video recording and editing.

Will my followers from other platforms be able to see my loops?

Loops uses ActivityPub, the same protocol as Mastodon and Pixelfed. If you have followers on those platforms, they'll be able to see and interact with your loops in their feeds! That's the power of the fediverse.

How do I report bugs or request features?
